Psalm 42 & 43, considered one Psalm in many Hebrew manuscripts, speak of one whose soul is downcast, who has shed many tears, and who feels rejected by God, yet hopes he/she will praise God again. As you pray today, think of the persecuted believers, the thousands of refugees, or the people in your life who are downcast in spirit and need to be reminded that God is their stronghold.
