God bless you for creating this site & service! This is so timely for me today! My son is in boot camp for the Marines in San Diego right now & my heart is just broken. While I’m incredibly proud & understanding that this is part of God’s will for my son (His child) to serve Him, I know that this process is very mentally, physically & spiritually demanding. This is the first time he’s ever been away from home longer than a week at a time and the only time I’ve not had the ability to contact him / him me to know everything was okay. I have not been able to talk to him in a month now and won’t for another 2 months until I see him at graduation. He’s only been able to write home twice (briefly) but we’ve heard nothing in nearly 2 weeks. We know from other parents in his Platoon when their sons have written home that boys are getting hurt and are sick, etc… We are don’t know / won’t know if that’s our son–but we are learning to FULLY SURRENDER HIM TO THE LORD. He knows to call upon Jesus & we have written this in every letter. So praying this over him today is just perfect & reminds me that God is near to him & He hears him… & most importantly, He loves him even more than me (as hard as that is for my heart to comprehend).
