Pray Matthew 5:1-7 (The Beatitudes)

Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today. You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin.

Matthew 5:3   “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” May ______ be one who recognizes that he/she is poor in spirit before You and without You, Lord.

Matthew 5:4     “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” When ______ mourns, may he/she be comforted by You, Lord.

Matthew 5:5     “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.”  May ______ be one who is meek.

Matthew 5:6     “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”  May ______ hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Matthew 5:7     “Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy.” May ______ be one who is merciful to others.

QUESTION: Ask yourself today, “Am I truly hungry for righteousness?”
