Pray Psalm 140

We have finished our journey through Matthew! Coming up next we will begin Galatians. Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today.  You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin.

Psalm 140:1     Rescue ______, O Lord, from evil men; protect him/her from men of violence who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day.

Psalm 140:4     Keep ______, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect him/her from men of violence who plan to trip his/her feet.

Psalm 140:6     May ______ say, “O Lord, You are my God.” Hear ______’s cry for mercy.

Psalm 140:7     May ______ know that You, Sovereign Lord, are ______’s strong deliverer who shields his/her head in the day of battle.

Psalm 140:12     May ______ know that You, Lord, secure justice for the poor and uphold the cause of the needy. Surely the righteous will praise Your name and the upright will live before You.

QUESTION: Is there anyone who comes to mind for these prayers for protection – a loved one in the military, persecuted believers, missionaries, a child who is struggling with peers? Lift him/her up to the Lord today.
