Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today.  You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin. 

(When you see the words “commands,” “laws,” and “decrees,” remember that this text was spoken to the Israelites regarding specific commands for them. We pray this regarding the commands God has given us in His complete Word.)

Deuteronomy 10:12     May _______ know that what You ask of him/her is to fear You, Lord, to walk in all Your ways, to love You, to serve You with all his/her heart and with all his/her soul, and to observe Your commands and decrees.

Deuteronomy 10:14-15     “To you, God, belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.” Yet You, Lord, set Your affection on Israel, loved them, and chose them above all nations. Lord, may ______ know that You also set Your affection on him/her, You love him/her, and You chose him/her.

Deuteronomy 10:16a     May ______ circumcise his/her heart.

QUESTION: Did you notice that one thing God asks of us is to love Him? God doesn’t just want our obedience and our service to Him. Our loving Father wants us to love Him in return. Reflect on that today.
