Pray 1 Samuel 16,17, & 18

Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today.  You may want to READ or listen to chapters SIXTEEN, SEVENTEEN, and EIGHTEEN before you begin. We ask you to join us in praying 1st Samuel over the next generation as the prayers seem fitting to do so.

1 Samuel 16:7     May ______ know that You, Lord, do not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but You look at the heart.

1 Samuel 16:18     May You be with ______, Lord, as You were with David.

1 Samuel 17:45     “David said to the Philistine, ‘You come at me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’” May ______ be brave and bold in Your name in the face of evil as David was.

1 Samuel 17:47     “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” May ______ know that even today, the battle belongs to the Lord.

1 Samuel 18:3    May You give ______ a friend(s) who loves ______ as himself/herself, as You gave Jonathan to David.

1 Samuel 18:14     “In everything David did he had great success, because the Lord was with him.” Lord, be with ______ in everything he/she does and grant him/her success.

QUESTION: Reflect on a battle you are facing. Have you remembered that the battle is the Lord’s and not yours?
