Pray Matthew 1,2,3 & 4

Today we begin our six week journey through Matthew! Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today. You may want to READ or listen to chapters ONE, THREE, and FOUR before you begin.

Matthew 1:22     “You are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”  Thank You, Jesus, that You came to save us from our sins! May ______ come to know You and trust in You as Savior.

Matthew 1:23     Thank You, Jesus, that Your name is (also) Immanuel, which means, “God with us.” Remind ______ today that You, God, are with him/her.

Matthew 3:16-17     The Spirit of God descended on You, Jesus, as a dove, and a voice from heaven said, “This is my son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” May ______ believe and not doubt that You, Jesus, are God’s Son.

Matthew 4:19-20, 22 Jesus said, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,” and at once Peter and Andrew left their nets and followed him. May ______ be like Peter, Andrew, James, and John, willing to leave everything and follow You, Jesus.

QUESTION: If Jesus asked You today to leave everything and follow Him, what would your response be?

He was given the name Jesus because he would save people from their sins. Want your children to know him? Pray Matthew 1:22. #matthew Click To Tweet
