Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today.  You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin.

1 Thessalonians 5:5     “You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”   May ______ believe in You, Jesus, and therefore be a son/daughter of the light, no longer belonging to the darkness.

1 Thessalonians 5:6    May ______ not be like others who are asleep, but may he/she be alert and self-controlled.

1 Thessalonians 5:8     May ______ be one who belongs to the day. May ________ be self-controlled; may he/she put on faith and love as a breastplate and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

1 Thessalonians 5:9     May ______ know and believe that You, God, did not appoint him/her to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:10     May ______ know and believe that You, Jesus, died for him/her so that, whether ­______ is awake or asleep, he/she may live together with You.

QUESTION: Have you trusted in Jesus, received salvation through Him, and are now a child of the light? If so, who can you share your story of salvation with today? If you have not trusted in Jesus as your Savior, know that He died for YOU so that YOU can one day live with Him in eternity.
