Pray Deuteronomy 4:25-49

Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today.  You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin.

(When you see the words “commands,” “laws,” and “decrees,” remember that this text was spoken to the Israelites regarding specific commands for them. We pray this regarding the commands God has given us in His complete Word.)

Deuteronomy 4:29     May ______ seek You, God, and know that he/she will find You if he/she looks for You with all his/her heart and all his/her soul.

Deuteronomy 4:31a    May ______ know that You, God, are a merciful God, and that You will not abandon ______ or destroy him/her.

Deuteronomy 4:35   May ______ know that You are God; besides You, there is no other.

Deuteronomy 4:37     Lord, You brought the Israelites out of Egypt by Your Presence and Your great strength. May ______ come to know Your presence and great strength in his/her life.

Deuteronomy 4:39     May ______ acknowledge and take to heart that You, Lord, are God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is NO other.

QUESTION: Take a minute and reflect on all we learn of God’s character in just five verses. Which aspect of God’s character comforts you or impacts you the most?
