Pray Deuteronomy 8

Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today.  You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin.

(When you see the words “commands,” “laws,” and “decrees,” remember that this text was spoken to the Israelites regarding specific commands for them. We pray this regarding the commands God has given us in His complete Word.)

Deuteronomy 8:3     May _____ know that “man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” May ______ live by Your word, Lord.

Deuteronomy 8:6   May ______ observe Your commands, Lord, walk in Your ways, and revere You.

Deuteronomy 8:10-11     When ______ has eaten and is satisfied, may ______ praise You, Lord, for [the good things] You have given him/her. May ______ be careful that he/she does not forget You, Lord, and fail to obey Your commands.

Deuteronomy 8:18b     May ______ remember You, Lord, for it is You who gives him/her the ability to produce wealth.

QUESTION: How can you practically live by God’s Word today?

Are you so satisfied in your life and in the things the Lord has given you that you’ve forgotten the Giver of those things? #deuteronomy Click To Tweet
