Pray Matthew 5:41-48

Take a moment to pray these scriptures over someone today. You may want to READ or LISTEN to the chapter before you begin.

Matthew 5:41     “If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.” Lord, provide ______ the opportunity to go the extra mile for someone who would never expect it today.

Matthew 5:42      May ______ give to the one who asks him/her, and not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from him/her.

Matthew 5:43-44     Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Lord, may ______ love his/her enemies and pray for those who persecute him/her.

Matthew 5:48     May ______ be perfect (mature or complete) as You, Father, are perfect.

QUESTION: Do you have any enemies? Ask God to help you love him/her today. Are you being persecuted? Ask God to help you pray for your persecutor(s) today.
