Introduction to Joshua

Have you ever been faced with something that you knew was not going to be easy and you just needed a good pep talk to encourage and strengthen you? Well, up next, we are going to spend eight days in the book of Joshua, which better than any great pep talk, will encourage, strengthen, and challenge you in your walk with God.

The book of Joshua tells how Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land, and how the Israelites defeated all of their enemies in just one campaign, because the Lord their God fought for them.

The book begins with God commanding Joshua to be strong and courageous, to cling to God’s Word. God reminds Joshua that He will be with him just as he was with Moses. The book ends with Joshua commanding the people to do the same — to be strong, to hold fast to God and His word, and to choose to serve God alone, because as they had just seen & experienced, every promise God gave them had been fulfilled– not one failed.

We are challenged to do the same: to be strong and courageous, to be careful to obey God’s Word, to trust God as the ultimate promise keeper, and to choose to serve Him with our lives.

If you are in need of a daily pep talk or challenge in your daily walk with God, join us for eight days of praying through Joshua, and invite someone to pray with you!
